Track

100 Railroad Street, McClelland, Iowa

Located nicely on the North West side of town the McClelland pulling track has been the home of many garden tractor pulls. The track is made of some of the nicest loess hills yellow dirt not packing to hard but giving it a nice firm base to make a fantastic pulling situation. The track is positioned perfect off the side street giving spectator’s full access to the entire track. Pits are groomed grass connected to the track on the south side. Directly across the street sits the city park. Rest room facilities are located there along with playground equipment so bring the kids. During the pulls we close the street to allow spectator and kids to walk over to the park.

New for the 2010 pulling season is a large announcer’s stand that will be located opposite of the spectators, equipped with power and a roof to keep the sun off. Also new for 2010 will be a concrete pit for the scale to sit on. We have dug a hole in the ground a poured a small pad of concrete. So no more ramps leading to the scale and no more odd weighing cause the scale will sit level like it should. Our track has an array of track conditioning equipment that stays at the track, including scrapers, mowers, packers, tractors, and water wagons. We have the ability keep and maintain a pulling track.
